Community Service
During their junior and senior years, student at Center for Learning Unlimited must perform 40 hours of community service (transfer students must perform 10 hours per year of attendance at CLU).
Students may begin accruing hours beginning the summer prior to ninth grade, with administrative approval. The community service requirement may be satisfied by participation in either a single activity or a combination of approved activities.
Definition of Community Service:
Service must be performed without compensation to the student. Court-ordered community service will not be accepted. Paid work will not be accepted. Service must not be associated with religious ceremonies or proselytizing. During voting years, political campaigning or work benefiting political organizations or causes directly can be accepted.
