Diagnostic/Prescriptive Program (Grades 2 – 12)

This intensive, interdisciplinary program diagnoses why a student is not currently available for learning and provides prescriptive recommendations so that the student can progress on their path forward to learning.

Our diagnostic/prescriptive program brings together the expertise of educators and diagnostic specialists from Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language, Psychology and Psychiatry to establish a clear focus on each student’s strengths and weaknesses as well as their individual learning and motivational styles. During the diagnostic portion of this program, appropriate professional service providers complete a comprehensive review of a student’s presenting information and directly assess the student’s abilities. Our team of educators and specialists then use these interdisciplinary observations to create an optimal learning and behavioral management plan that will facilitate the student’s transition back into appropriate educational and community services.  This unique approach involves an infusion of prescribed, yet flexible, intervention strategies across every aspect of the student’s curriculum.
