Dear Friends,
Welcome to Center for Learning Unlimited! Founded in 1985, we have grown into a dynamic school community featuring a relationship-based approach in teaching children emotional skills and dealing with challenging behaviors. The focus is primarily on "affective education" because the primary deficit in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is difficulty engaging in truly warm and reciprocal relationships with others.
When you experience CLU, you will see that we:
- Teach the child the process of building relationships with peers and others
- Attune to the developmental needs of that child
- Partner with other agencies in the community to surround the child and family with the best practices in autism
- Return most children to their public school district or private school
