Founded in 1985, The Center for Learning Unlimited (known as CLU or The Center) has evolved as the parents in our community needed additional resources, educational and clinical, to serve the needs of their special child. From the beginning, the focus of all Center programs has been to understand each child's unique strengths and ability to learn.
The non public school began in 2001 in response to the professionals and parents who knew the Center and were concerned that the community had no such resource for children with complex needs.
Our program is designed so that student experience the success of their own strengths and manage their weaknesses as they navigate their learning challenges in our supportive and individualized environment. Our students may not trust themselves and may have lost their desire to succeed. They require "real world" strategies for learning that address academic skills and course content they may have missed earlier. Most of our students return to their public or private schools.
Our Mission
We empower students with learning differences to recognize their long term potential, and we provide on-going support and solutions that can help heal the entire family. To ensure that our students receive the highest quality education and services, we rely on a partnership with highly trained staff and experienced professional resources in the community.
