"When I first became involved in June 1996, the school was still in a dream state. CLU became something that I was committed to because of the importance of education in my own life and in my philanthropic work throughout the community.
The most important priority for me is supporting students with special needs, so the bulk of my giving has been in the area of financial aid. I would love one day to have a financial aid endowment so that we could have need-blind admissions and grow our percentage of students on financial aid.
I truly believe that education is one of the most important things we can give to our children, and by giving to Center for Learning Unlimited, I feel like I'm not only giving to my own children, but to the future generations. "Our immediate goals were to prepare her for a week of Girl Scout camp following the end of RAP. Excitement and self confidence were immediately shown at camp arrival, meeting new girls, choosing bunks and farewell to parents. At pickup was a happy camper greeting us, her new friends hugging her, addresses exchanged and our daughter expressing the desire to return to camp. Our future goal is an improvement in social skills at school with friendships established.
RAP gave our daughter a structured setting with trained staff to guide and prompt when needed. The RAP activities were fun and physically active, she looked forward daily to the scheduled events. At the completion of RAP a memory book written by her was sent home. Our daughter proudly reviewed her memory book with family and friends. Many happy stories and memories were told by her about RAP friends and counselors. We are very grateful for the RAP program and recommend it highly." Linda

"What has impressed me the most about your Center, is the "tool set" each student "owns" as a result of being at the Center. The world of business and the world of life is all about planning, schedules, deliverables, and followup. Each student learns, with industry tools, how to plan, prioritize, schedule, and execute their plans and are held accountable for them. The student is expected to monitor their activities for themselves and hold themselves accountable for the execution of the tasks. This is such a good lesson for everyone to learn, but to have these skills at an early age, gives these students the edge for college and for life. Way to go, CLU." Bruce
